Villa Nuvola

Hilltop Luxury Villa Featuring Corner Opening Slim Sliding Doors

From this beautiful hilltop holiday villa, both scenic mountain views and beautiful sea views stretch beyond the balcony. The architect has utilised these views by incorporating large sliding glass doors with ultra slim frames in the home.

Tall glass panes allow floods of natural light to flow into the villa, when these rays reflect off of the bright surfaces it produces a bright contemporary interior whilst keeping the home cool. This creates feelings of peace and serenity.

Corner opening slim siding doors also contribute to keeping the internal temperature down as they provide ventilation by allowing a significant air flow in and out of the property when open.

With the sliding doors open, due to the completely flush finish of the system and the same flooring being used inside the property and on the external balcony, the transitions between spaces is seamless.

The open plan feel and ability to merge the interior and exterior living areas shows elements of biophilic design, a popular trend in luxury villas. By bringing the outside in, the strong connection to the sea and mountains provides a calm atmosphere for the internal living spaces.

Glazing such as slim sliding doors with a 20mm sightline and frameless glass balustrades are perfect for this type of project, where maximising natural light and having panoramic uninterrupted views are the main priorities. By using frameless glass balustrades on the external balcony there is no obstruction of natural light or views as there is a clear path through the doors and balustrade, both of which have excellent levels of clarity. Amazing views deserve to be appreciated at all times. Materials in this build were carefully selected to ensure the most was made of the stunning views and to give the property a peaceful and serene ambiance.

Light colour palettes are a staple of any beach holiday villa, they not only help the property to appear bigger inside whilst providing a contemporary and minimal design, but also utilise the cooling properties of light walls. White reflects the sun’s rays, helping to keep villas in warmer climates cool.

The interior design includes light floors, kitchen counters and furniture in line with the minimal and serine aesthetic. The frames of the aluminium sliding doors have been finished with a polyester powder coating in a colour similar to the surroundings wall finishes.
