Steel Look Bifolds to House Extension

The Sieger Legacy Bifiold was the centre piece of this house renovation in London. The steel look bifold door creates an entire wall of folding glass integrated with elegant glazing bars for a steel look.

A four pane bifold configuration was chosen with a three pane bifolding stack and a single action hinged door to the left of the elevation.

This biparting configuration allowed the entire elevation to open and created an easy use ‘pass door’ for quick access to the garden.

Bespoke Glazing Design

The glazing bars in a Sieger Legacy Bifold can be incorporated in whatever design or pattern that is required. This allows these steel look bifolds to be designed in keeping with existing glazing, neighbouring buildings or internal lines of design.

The minimal frame of the Sieger Legacy bifold maximises the flow of natural light into the indoor living area. The frames on this project were powder coated dark grey which is a very popular choice for steel look systems. The dark door frame compliments the white kitchen décor creating an attractive modern finish.

Sieger aluminium systems are able to be custom created to your project requirements. The clients on this project were cat owners. A cat flap was therefore incorporated into the glazing of the final bifolding pane.

This is an example of how a practical use can be tastefully incorporated into the structure of the door without sacrificing design.

All ironmongery was finished in a brushed silver colour, further advancing the traditional steel look design of the bifold doors.
