CASE STUDY

Aluminium Systems at Villiers Mews

Modern Residential Development with Aluminium Windows

This multi-unit residential development in Clapham benefited from various installations of Sieger Systems products. The scheme was developed by Collabor8 and designed by award-winning architects ZMA.

The development consists of two ‘blocks’. The front block is street facing and featured our aluminium windows and doors to the rear elevations.

The rear block was hidden from the street and the design was much more modern, with timber cladding and large elevations of our Sieger Slim Sliding Doors.

Project Highlight

The rear block features many glass to glass corner configurations to capture natural light. The leading house at the rear of the development showcases Sieger Slim sliding doors on both floors that open on the corners. The first-floor opening includes a balustrade to create a modern Juliette balcony.

.

Large floor to ceiling windows create a modern design whilst our slim aluminium frames maximise glass and natural light.

The apartments in the front block benefit from small courtyards and patios. These are easily accessed via our Sieger 45 sliding doors. The modern aluminium frames have square edges and maintain the modern architectural design.

Double height aluminium windows with glass spandrel panels were also used to bring light into stairwells.

The installation was carried out by the team at IQ Glass and the Sieger technical team, who worked closely together to ensure the building interface details were minimal and seamless.
